TXGI POSTER COMPETITION
Poster Competition Eligibility
The Texas Gastrointestinal Cancer Conference invites Medical Residents, Oncology Fellows, Junior Faculty (within 2 years of initial appointment), Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Pharmacy Professionals, and individuals holding a PhD to enter our TXGI Poster Competition. Applicants may submit an abstract relevant to GI cancer, and if selected, will present winning posters during the Welcome Reception at the Texas Gastrointestinal Cancer Conference on Thursday evening, November 5, 2026, in Austin, Texas.
Attending the conference does not require a poster submission and/or presentation. Registration is free, and Physician Fellows & Residents are welcome to attend.

Key Dates:
- Abstract submissions are due by July 3, 2026
- Winners will be notified by July 17, 2026
- TXGI Conference in Austin, TX: November 5–7, 2026

Abstract Submission Guidelines:
- Abstract should be on the subject of gastrointestinal cancers.
- Abstract should address scientific questions, detail clinical observations, or contain primary scientific data.
- Abstract demonstrates originality and innovation.
- Encore submissions are permitted.
- Abstract is written clearly and concisely.
- No Trials in Progress.
- Abstract Body/Table: (please submit as an attachment to the submission email)
- Body of the abstract should include background, methods, results and conclusions.
- Do not use proprietary drug names.
- Submissions should not exceed 500 words. A table counts as 100 words.
- One data table is allowed per submission.
Judging:
- All submissions will be judged by TXGI Conference Faculty who are established experts in the field. All submissions will be judged on scientific merit.
- Winners will be notified by Conference Planning Committee.
- Winners will be asked to present their poster on Thursday, November 5 during the Welcome Reception.
- Each winner will receive complimentary registration, up to two (2) nights hotel accommodation, and up to $500 toward airfare as an award.
